Teachers can give examples to make a subject relevant. They can explain the purpose of an assignment. They can also point out a student's accomplishment and reward him and not become overly critical of a student when a mistake is made. A student should not be dismissed for coming up with ideas or questioning a teacher. However, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. It is ultimately up to the student to decide how much he wants to learn.

Make the class fun, so the students want to attend class. Don't just give lectures; play games, sing songs, and really make it a class that you would want to take.
